What is Turkish Psychedelic Music

Turkish psychedelic rock, also known as Anatolian rock, birthed and gained popularity during the late 1960's and early ’70s, mixing traditional Turkish folk with the sound of the Western rock groups of the time. The style has found a new audience in recent years thanks in part to reissues and compilations by labels like Finders Keepers and Bouzouki Joe, and from DJs like Bariș K, who has released a series of Turkish psych and disco re-edits, allowing a new audience to hear the sounds of artists otherwise omitted from the Westernised music canon, like Erkin Koray, Selda, and Moğollar.
In recent years this genre had a rebirth and gained popularity by young generation thanks to platforms like youtube, soundcloud and spotify. Funky and uplifting sound of the music catched with the energy of the young generation.
One of the youtube channels named Anatolian Rock Revival Project has a big role in this. They uploaded old records with improved quality and new cover animations:
However, this is not the only way it stretched. Some groups adapted this sound and created their own with modern touches of electronic music. One of them is Altin Gun. Holland based this group with their two Turkish vocals made the covers of old Turkish Psychedelic pieces and gained popularity all around the world in indie music stage.

Another good example for this is Gaye Su Akyol. She recently started gain popularity both in Turkey and out of Turkey by her unique musical sound. She mixes old sounds of psychedelic sound and futuristic themes.
Another example i want to give is the group called Babazula which is around for a long time and they are well known all around the world by the people who is familiar with indie folk/psychedelic genre. They have very authentic sound and its a good example how can music effect ones imagination by sound and atmosphere. Even if you don't understand the words emotions will be passed down to you by sound.
There are also modern examples of Turkish music with mixing sounds of electronic, deep-house and dark-wave sounds. The song of Cem Karaca mixed with electronic music and gave birthed to something beautiful :
There are also examples from out of Turkey which combines the instrumental sounds of East with electronic psychedelic genres.
Also there are examples of new indie stage they may not directly related to but have a taste!
